Reathal "Dolly" Van Peursem's Obituary
Reathal "Dolly" was born July 1, 1930 in Lemars, Iowa to Dick and Marie Vreeman. Her brother, Bud, nicknamed her Dolly immediately. Her parents owned restaurants and a drapery business and Dolly always worked for them.
She met Cecil at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa and married in June 19, 1951. She taught in a one-room school house prior to their move to Florida with children Bruce and Dixie. Three more daughters were born in Florida, Tami, Cindy and Mari.
Dolly was a very active at Lake Worth Christian School and Lake Worth Christian Reformed Church and on multiple committees.
She loved sharing Christ with others and loved using her gift of hospitality and loved picnics. She remained a prayer warrior until her last days.
Dolly spent her last weeks making great memories with family and friends, sharing lots of laughter, smiles, great food and fellowship.
She was loved by and survived by her brother; Bud, children; Bruce (Sally) Van Peursem, Dixie (Tom) Mac Rae, Tami (Tom) Hocking, Cindy (Dale) MarcinKoski, Mari (Steve) VanderGriend, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends.
Private family graveside service at Palm Beach Memorial and celebration of life service open to all at 11:00 a.m. on October 9, 2020 at Sunlight Community Church address 1325 North A Street lake Worth Florida 33460
