Remo N. Giammarco's Obituary
Remo N. Giammarco | Boynton Beach, Florida
August 1932 – April 2019
Loving son of Bambina and Pompilio. He’s survived by his wife Angela, his son Robert, daughter Laura and son in law Vincent, his three grandchildren: Duke, Cole, and Remo; as well as brother Herman.
He fought for his country in Korea, serving in the Army from 1952 to 1954, earning awards for marksmanship. He was a master craftsman with wood, learning his trade in his father’s furniture shop alongside his brothers. Smitten by the young woman he had met before going into the service, he pursued her when he came home, and they married in 1957. They had 62 beautiful years together, raising their children, enjoying their grandchildren and years later, their retirement in the sunshine of Florida.
Remo was the kind of charming man everyone liked. He loved to keep up with people and maintained friendships all over the country. A memorial service in his honor will be held on June 8th, 2019 at Palm Beach Memorial Funeral Home, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard Lantana, FL at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in Remo's name to: The Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust. https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=7589
