Uncle Rich was one of my favorite uncles. I remember grilling him 50 years ago in my grandparents home in Staten Island. He had just proposed to our Aunt Diane and my sister and I wanted to make sure that he was 'fit' to marry our Aunt. We were devasted that after the wedding, they would be living in Philly. But Uncle Rich's warm smile and personality won us over. I'll always remember him introducing me to 'beer' pancakes - it must have been a Philly thing. One thing is for sure, he loved our Aunt Diane. I'll always have loving memories of this larger than life man! Forever in our hearts.
