Sincere condolences from our family to yours during this sorrowful time. Ross’ presence at Pathways will be missed for sure. I always loved that Pathways had their very own sheriff especially one that was so kind and had a beautiful smile all the time!
My condolences to the Martin Family. Having been neighbors with the Martins for nearly 23 years Ross was a big part of our every day life. I'll never forget the first time I met Ross, we were moving in with boxes in hand, my daughter and wife were in the house and several boys rode by on there bikes and started shooting BB's at the house and of course I chased them by foot but by the time I returned home the police had caught the boys, and Ross was in front of my house in his security uniform. Two things happened that day. Ross learned that I had a temper and spoke French. He looked at me like I was crazy and secondly I learned that he cares greatly about my family and the community because for the next couple weeks he watch my house like a hawk. Not only will my family miss Ross but the Sea Pines Community will miss him as well.

My Condolences to Bill and Family. I remember meeting Ross and his Dad at the State Special Olympics around 2006. It was so nice hanging with you guys. Years later Eric was able to join the PATHWAYS Gang where Ross was the Sheriff. I know that he, Eric and Bobby are enjoying the FREEDOM of Heaven. Running, Jumping and being FREE. Be BLESSED.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Martin Family on behalf of the Special Olympics Palm Beach County "Family". We will deeply miss our friend Ross and seeing his smiling face out at the events.
We will always remember Ross at the bowling alley working with his Dad adjusting the ramp and throwing strikes on the lanes or on the track watching him going around the cones during the w/c slalom or making the turns on the obstacle course. Some fond memories that we will hold with us forever.
Ross touched the lives of so many of us over the years. Friend, you will be missed!

Ross Martin was truly one of the most generous people I have ever known. If he heard someone across the room say “I forgot my lunch”, Ross would immediately offer to buy that person a meal, or share some of his food. Even when he won money on a lottery ticket, he wanted none for himself and gave every penny to his favorite charity. His laugh and smile were contagious. I could talk to him for hours about his passion for how the branches of our federal government worked. He was full of facts about how many served in the Congress, the Senate, and their roles in the legislative branch. He was an expert on the Bill of Rights and loved to talk to me about the meaning of those very special amendments to our Constitution. His passion for food was another favorite topic of discussion; he enjoyed certain cooking shows, and had a special place in his heart for Ina Garten, The Barefoot Contessa. The Special Olympics, Bowling, spending time with his family, his involvement with all his friends at Pathways to Independence and his very special relationship with the law enforcement community were the things he enjoyed most when spending time outside of his home. I can smile and laugh aloud when replaying the 20 something years of memories of Ross that I hold close to my heart. His friendship and love have been wonderful gifts. I miss him dearly ……….. Jeanne
