Mrs Shirley Ann Wurdeman's Obituary
Mrs. Shirley Ann Wurdeman age 93 of Lantana, Florida went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2015 and joined her beloved husband, Roy Wurdeman who has been awaiting her arrival since 1971. Mrs Wurdeman was born on December 23, 1921 in Fredonia, Pennsylvania where she was raised on a farm and learned to milk the cows, mow the field, put in crops and other farm duties as a young child. Mrs Wurdeman met and married her husband, Roy Wurdeman in Washington, DC while she was still in Nursing School and later they move to the South Florida area in 1957 and set up residence in the Town of Lantana, Florida. After attending Nursing School in the Washington, DC area she worked in the Dental Industry for many years as a Professional Dental Assistant. Shirley loved to work in her yard; she enjoyed planting and cultivating everything from Avocado Trees, Mango Trees and a Leeche Nut Tree as well as mowing, trimming and maintaining her yard with vibrant colorful flowers. She will be forever remembered as a kind, generous and thoughtful person; she always helped those who were in need or less fortunate. Mrs. Wurdeman leaves behind to forever cherish her memory her nephew, Peter Bernard Wagner; her dear friend and companion, Grace E. Napier and her family, Eldon Napier, Paul Napier, Lance Napier, Diane Napier-Pointdjor, Paula Napier-Simth, Denise Napier and Andrea Napier-Yap. A Private Family visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 586-1237. A Graveside Service and burial will follow at 11:15 AM on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Palm Beach Memorial Park Cemetery, 3691, Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 585-6444 with Reverend Wayne L. Padgettt officiating.
