I didn’t know her for a long time, our conversations were short. However, she was stellar. She was the most gentle yet regal soul I had ever met in my life. She’d call me Dear, ask me how I was doing and each time would always
leave me with some advice. I had nothing but the utmost respect for Eta, for who she was and the
struggles she went through in her life. My favorite memory of her was when we went to the
beach, I sat down and had a conversation with her. I asked her about her hometown, her husband, and her life. She looked upon the beach, it took her a second but she remembered details. She gave me detailed answers to the extent I had yet to have heard from her that far into her dementia. It was clear that despite her more recent past, she had a fascinating recollection of her home. I hope to meet her again and this time learn more about where she came from. Until we meet again Stella.
