Stuart Coman Jr's Obituary
Stuart Coman Jr., 90, of Boynton Beach, FL formerly of Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed away on July 17, 2022.
Stuart was the only child born to Stuart Coman and Mabel (Now) Coman on January 1, 1932, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Stuart graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology before enlisting in the Navy where he served for 2 years on the icebreaker, USS Atca. He married Lois C. (Harris) Coman on May 26, 1956. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi (College academic fraternity), and Sigma Chi (College social fraternity).
Stuart worked for Connecticut’s Electric Company - Northeast Utilities for 36 years. He retired as Area Superintendent of Electrical Operations. He resided in Old Saybrook, Connecticut and served as President of the Rotary Club, and President of the Clinton Country Club. Stuart enjoyed time with his family and playing golf.
He is survived by his loving wife Lois C. Coman of 66 years. His son Robert S. Coman and Daughter-in-Law, Kimberley K. (Leggett) Coman. Beloved Granddaughter, Katherine S. (Coman) Taney and Ryan F. Taney, and Great-grandchildren, Madison K. Taney and Garrison S. Taney. Beloved Granddaughter, Kristina C. Coman and Grandson, Robert C. Coman.
A service celebrating Stuart’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022. Visitation will be from 9:00-9:30am followed by a service from 9:30-10:00am at Palm Beach Memorial Chapel, 3691 North Seacrest Blvd., Lantana, FL.
Beginning at 11:00am, graveside services will be conducted at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL.
From 12:00PM to 2:00PM, all are welcome to gather with the family at Duffy's Sports Grill, 6545 Boynton Beach Blvd, Boynton Beach FL 33437.
