Sylvia Wolfe's Obituary
Sylvia C. Wolfe, of Delray Beach for the past 40 years, passed away on May 16, 2013 in Boca Raton. Sylvia was described as "The Perle Mesta of Florida." She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, "Auntie," cousin and friend. Sylvia was prominent in local, state and national Democratic politics. Like the song "Who is Sylvia," Mrs. Wolfe was graced with beauty, fairness and wisdom. Many will miss her. For many years, Sylvia was an active member of P.N.A.I., the Shira Delray Chapter of Hadassah; South County Democratic Club; The Boca, Delray and Boynton Women's Democratic Club; Young Democrats; the Democratic Executive Committee of Palm Beach County and the Ladies Club of Bridgeview. She was predeceased by her husband Murray; she will be forever missed by her sons, Arnold, Clifford and Edward; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Jennifer, Karen, Marjorie and Elisandro and great-grandchildren, Jacob M., Brooke, Lilah, Aidan, Jacob W. and Emerson. Services honoring her memory will take place on Friday, May 24, 11:00 am at Rubin Memorial Chapel, 7340 Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33437 (561) 853-3000.
