Thomas Elwin Aliff's Obituary
Thomas Elwin Aliff age 62 of Lake Worth, Florida slipped away from the tempestuous bonds of life and entered into God's eternal kingdom and grace on July 31, 2014. Thomas began this life on June 26, 1952 in Bluefield, West Virginia to his eagerly awaiting parents, the late Mr. Elwin Aliff and Mrs. Dorcas (nee Lowder) Aliff. Thomas moved to the Lake Worth, Florida area in nineteen ninety three coming from North Carolina. Thomas was a hardworking, quiet spoken and humble man; whom provided the means for his family to enjoy life and the common luxurious that he could afford to provide for them. He instilled good values to his son, grandson and family and he was continually helping out his fellowman in time of need. Thomas was the Proprietor of Aliff Fencing Company in Lake Worth. Tom loved baseball and when his son, Michael was growing up Tom spent countless hours on the field, coaching and helping his son and team to become better baseball players by honing their individual skills. His other love was helping others by contributing his time to AA to help those in need of recovery from addiction to alcohol. "Tom paid it forward to the next person." He also loved to play rock n roll tunes from the sixties and seventies on his accoustic guitar. Tom is probably in Heaven playing to a sold out crowd, jamming on his rendition of "Stairway to Heaven". One thing is for sure he will be forever honored and loved by his son, Michael Thomas Aliff of Lake Worth, Florida; his adored grandson, Gavin Michael Aliff of Lake Worth, Florida; his loved mother, Dorcas Aliff of Naples, Florida; and his admired sister, Margaret Aliff of Costa Rica. Tom was met at the top of the stairs leading to Heaven's Gate by his father, Elwin Aliff since 1998 and two of his sisters, Vicky Aliff since 1991 and Marlene Aliff since 2005. A Celebration of Life Service for Thomas Elwin Aliff will be planned at a future date to be announced.
