Wallace Everett Somero's Obituary
Wallace Everett Somero 88, passed away peacefully at the Finnish American Village in Lantana, FL on November 25, 2018. Wally was born February 20, 1930 on the family farm in New Ipswich, NH. Son of Nicholas and Olga Somero.
Wally graduated from Appleton Academy in New Ipswich NH in 1948, where he played basketball and drove for the Somero family school bus company.
He married his high school sweetheart, Betty (Gordon) in August 1950. They resided in New Ipswich NH. He was employed by the American Can Company in Fitchburg MA from 1953 until their move to Lantana FL in 1968 where he began Wally Somero Painting. He was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church in New Ipswich and later in Lake Worth FL where he was chairman of the board for nine years.
His hobbies included bowling and golfing. Also playing games and performing magic tricks for the grandchildren.
Those who will miss Wally the most include his wife Betty and their children. Clark (Sue), Dale Norby (David), Dawn Kinnunen (Randy), Craig (Mary) and twins Debi Sarkela (Rodney), Diane Warren (Glen). 23 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. Also, brothers; Ralph (Barbara), Richard (Judi) and sister Ellen Myllymaki (Wilho). He was reunited in Heaven with his parents and brothers Martin, Philip, Robert and sister Sylvia Krook.
Service to celebrate Wally’s life will be held at the Apostolic Lutheran Church
4650 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL arranged by Palm Beach Memorial. Viewing from 12:30-1:30 with the funeral service at 1:30. It will be live on YouTube at Lake Worth Apostolic Lutheran Church YouTube live.
Burial will be immediately following at Palm Beach Memorial, 3691 Seacrest Blvd.
