Wesley Dean's Obituary
Wesley A. Dean, of Lantana, Florida, passed away on August 8, 2022, at the age of 91. Wesley was born on July 17, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio, to parents Alva and Mildred Dean. He is survived by his wife, Arlene, his childhood sweetheart of 66 years, and his children Debra (Ken), Richard (Michele), James, and Karen (David), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wesley was a career Army officer, having achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was a military pilot for 20 years and earned his Master Army Aviator wings after flying numerous Army helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. He was a Korean and Vietnam War veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.
Wesley loved to watch sports shows and anything aviation-related. He had a unique sense of humor. He also was an accomplished violinist who played in the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra when he was younger. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home in Lantana, Florida.
