Wilford E. Johnston's Obituary
Mr. Wilford E. Johnston, age 90 of North Palm Beach was called home by the Lord on October 13, 2015. Wilford was born on October 9, 1925 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to the late Gilbert E. Johnston and Leona Jane (nee Brunell) Johnston. Wilford worked as a police officer for Lake Park and was also a machine parts inspector. He like music, working crossword puzzles and traveling and loved eating out for a nice dinner with his late wife, Madeline. He moved to the South Florida area in 1964 and was a member of the Northlake Church of the Nazarene where he loved to worship and give praise to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Wilford is predeceased by his loving wife, Madeline and is survived by three beloved children: Gilbert E. Johnston II, Debra Witherow and her husband, Michael Witherow, and Gary Johnston; his 6 treasured grandchildren: Gilbert E. Johnston III, John R. Johnston and his wife Shannon, Shane Witherow, Shannon Richards and her husband Garry Richards II, Derrick Johnston and Joey Johnston and his wife Laura Johnston; and his 13 great grandchildren: Andrew Johnston, Adrianna Johnston , Zachary Johnston, Taylor Johnston , Aaron Johnston, Joshua Witherow, Hailey Richards, Brooklyn Richards, Trevor Johnston, Trentin Johnston, Desiree Johnston, Trinity Johnston and Joseph Ryan Johnston.
Family and friends will gather to visit and pay respects on Friday, October 16, 2015, from 6-8 pm at Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, FL 33462. A Celebration of Life Service to Honor the Eternal Memory of Wilford E. Johnston will be held Saturday, October 17th, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel at Palm Beach Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Cupp, Jr. of the Northlake Church of the Nazarene officiating. Christian Burial Rites will follow at Palm Beach Memorial Gardens.
