Adam Parker's Obituary
Adam Wade Parker, 42, passed away on May 6, 2015, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Adam was born in Los Angeles County, California, on August 16, 1972. He spent most of his youth in Lillian, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida. Adam enjoyed adventure from an early age. He could often be found climbing trees or digging for treasure in the woods. He spent his summers camping out at the beach, swimming, fishing, and engaging in all things water-related. Throwing a cast-net with his grandfather or going scuba diving with his father were treasured ways of spending a day. As a teen, Adam traveled to Anchorage, Alaska to spend time in the north with his Aunt Lois. He attended West High School during this period, and although he enjoyed his time in Alaska, Adam discovered he was a confirmed warm-weather kind of guy. He was never happier than on a scorching day in the sun. After graduating from Foley High School in 1990, Adam joined the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in Japan for four years. He fell in love with the country and ended up staying; he returned to the U.S. after ten years in Japan, moving to Annapolis, Maryland for a short jaunt. Adam eventually made his way back to Pensacola, spending time near his family, living and working in the Perdido Key, Florida and Orange Beach, Alabama areas for a few years before heading south to warmer climes in West Palm Beach, where he spent the last seven years of his life. It was in West Palm Beach that Adam met Kristin Mueller. Adam was overjoyed when he and Kristin announced the impending arrival of their daughter, Sadie. He has been overjoyed with Sadie ever since. Although it is unimaginable that their time together was so brief, spending his last years with Sadie brought Adam immeasurable happiness. In the few short years they had together, his little girl was the light of Adam's life: Sadiebug was his world. Adam's family and friends will forever remember his soulful eyes, his wonderful sense of humor, and his generous nature. He is survived by his daughter, Sadie Eleanor Parker, of West Palm Beach, Florida; his father, Gene Parker of Pensacola, Florida; his mother and stepfather, Janell and Marvin Hall of Pensacola, Florida; siblings, Lori Harris, of Palmer, Alaska; Kim Weaver of Pensacola, Florida; and Tommy Hinote of Pensacola, Florida, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held in Pensacola, Florida at a later date. Please send your contact information to [email protected], subject-line Adam, if you would like to be notified of arrangements.
