Myrtle A. Masters' Obituary
Myrtle A. (nee Minich) Masters age 93 of Lake Worth, Florida passed away peacefully on June 13, 2014 with her family by her bedside. Myrtle was born on March 30, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to her eagerly awaiting parents, the late Mr. Harry Minich and the late Mrs. Rose (nee Herkert) Minich. Myrtle moved from Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1986 to her home in West Palm Beach, Florida and within the past few years has resided with her daughter, Patricia in Lake Worth, Florida. Prior to moving to Florida Myrtle resided in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for most of her life. Myrtle was a very determined woman; never allowing any obstacle to get in her way from achieving her goals. She was born and gifted with a strong will, creative passion and a brilliant mind to excel beyond simple and passe'. Myrtle could literally make a "pigs ear into a pocket book"; her spirit overflowed with the creative talent to do or make something better than before. This flowed over into her family life as well despite the assistance of a man in her life she raised her four beautiful children without a father figure. Myrtle was a Free Lance Commercial Artist for many years and contributed some of her talents into helping with the graphic arts on Holy Name of Jesus Bulletins and other supplied materials when she was able to do so. She also loved to paint, dabble in arts and crafts, garden, fix and repair things in her home and you name it, because she probably had done it at one time or another in her life. Her greatest love besides her children and family was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; where she spent many hours and days in worship at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in West Palm Beach. She will be forever remembered for not just the little things that she did for her friends and family, but for her greatest attributes of having a big heart, warm smile, affectionate way and gentle nature. She will be forever loved and honored by her wonderful children, Patricia Damushes and her husband, Roger, Carol Masters, Robert Masters and his wife, Jeanne, and Frank Masters and his wife Karen; her eight adored grandchildren, Judy (Bryan), Nick (Lisa), Alison, Natalie, Danny, Christopher (Kaitlin), Jeffery and Jessica; her four treasured great grandchildren, Brandon, Sydney, Jack and Sophia Rose. Family and friends may gather to pay respects from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 19th, 2014 at Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 586-1237.
