Peter J. Michalczyn's Obituary
Peter J. Michalczyn, 79, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away on March 29, 2026, at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Born and raised in Hamilton, NJ, Pete proudly served his country as a Combat Medic in Vietnam after graduating from Rider College in Lawrenceville, NJ. He later carried on his family’s legacy as the owner of Capitol City Aluminum Products in Trenton, NJ. Pete was predeceased by his parents, Peter P. and Catherine (Kostue) Michalczyn, and his sister, Maryann Michalczyn East.
Pete is survived by his former wife, Sharyn J. (Petty) Michalczyn; his brother-in-law, Jack East; his loving Michalczyn, Poksay, and Kostue cousins; and three cherished goddaughters—Karen Pagliaro Cassidy, Brooke Battaglia Swope, and Alexandra Burris Cingari.
Anyone who knew Pete knew how much he loved life. He was outgoing, spirited, and always up for a good time. He kept friends close and made new ones wherever he went. An avid deep-sea sport fisherman and a proud Philadelphia Eagles fan, Pete brought enthusiasm, laughter, and big stories to every gathering.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice—and raise a glass in his honor. Pete would surely appreciate a heartfelt toast shared among friends.
Cremation with burial and full military honors will take place at the South Florida National Cemetery in Wellington, FL at a later date
