Mr. Walter Andrew Egger's Obituary
Mr. Walter Andrew Egger age 82 of Delray Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on February 16, 2015. Walter was born on February 2, 1933 in Brockton, Massachusetts to his parents, Mr. John Henry Egger, Jr. and Mrs. Gertrude Egger. Walter was a Master Plumber and Plumbing Contractor for many years. He was owner of Highland Plumbing and Heating in Lakeville and Taunton, Massachusetts. He was also the Plumbing Inspector for the Town of Lakeville, Massachusetts for forty years. He also was a member of the Ocean Spray Cooperative and an Owner and Operator of his own 10 acres of Cranberry Bogs called Egger Cranberry Company in Lakeville, Massachusetts. He was an honorably discharged United States Naval Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict era. Walter was very active with the Rotary Club and was a founding member of the Lakeville Ma. Chapter. He was very involved in the Youth Exchange Program and hosted fourteen children from around the world at his home. Walter also loved boating, fishing, snow skiing, traveling and spending quality time with his family and friends. Walter will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him dearly not only for all of his kind and generous acts and deeds throughout his life but for his Genuine love of people. He leaves behind to forever cherish his Eternal Memory a loving and devoted wife, Nancy Egger; his two loved daughters, Diane Hallquist and husband, Scott Hallquist and Debra Egger; and husband Eugene Medeiros and his sister, Lorraine Madonna. Walter was preceded in death by his brother, John Egger. The family will be planning for a Graveside Service to be scheduled in the near future at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449, (561) 649-6489 which will be announced later. The United States Naval Honor Guard will present honors to his family on that date.
